Steve joined the book group after innocently walking into the Volunteer Inn one quiet Wednesday evening to enjoy a pint and a curry.

Within seconds he was dragged kicking and screaming into a back room and beaten with books until he gave in and joined up.

Since joining the Volunteers Steve has eaten his own body weight in curry and can often be found trawling bookshops for hidden gems.
